My father had undergone a foot abscess pus draining and debridement surgery in October and due to diabetes related neuropathy, quite a bit of dead necrotic tissue had to be removed from under his foot which had created a deep wound. Inspite of insulin being administered 3 times a day since surgery and 2 months of antibiotics and supplements for expeditng healing, there wasnt too much improvement in the status of his wound. Surgeon recommended us 5 consecutive sessions of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to help with the healing. After doing the recommended sessions from this centre there was considerable improvememt in the status of his wound. Healthy tissue growth was happened and the doctor has assured us that his wound will completely heal within 4 to 6 more weeks of alternate day dressing change. The staff at the centre are very helpful and answer all the doubts of the patients and their relatives patiently. They explain the process and help calm the anxiety of the patient entering the oxygen chamber. It is wheelchair friendly too. We are grateful for these sessions which helped the healing processof my father's wound.
