5 totalDoctor Swain and his staff are excellent!!!
This location charges just like the hospital. My insurance copay was $45 per visit but Ascension charges $600 and billed it as a hospital deductible for an office visit. I was not given a cost estimate before the service and oddly, they had no one available to take my copay at either visit. I made several calls , spoke with the person in charge of the billing and it stopped there and they turned this account over to collections. This is highway robbery because Ascension is in deep water financially. Do not use the wound care clinic without getting an estimate because they purposefully avoid communication after price gouging. The link cannot be accessed from your reply. Update: I received a call from a representative, Tiffany, the day after this review posted, who advised I would receive a call from Liz, account liaison. Today is 8/12 and Liz has not contacted me yet. Instead, the collections company sent an itemized bill 4 days ago. Ascension is not practicing transparency billing and they are charging customers whatever they want to charge. There is absolutely no way I would have agreed to a $600 copay each for the 2 office visits. Tiffany explained the 8 month delay in sending me the first bill was due to their system being hacked. This is unacceptable and they are attempting to make me pay an elevated amount that does not reflect the terms of my insurance copays at the time I received services. I will seek legal assistance.
Dr Lenka Zachar and her staff Jenn Christine Tracey and Richard as well as Ms Anne in the front desk are a true blessing. They are some of the best and nicest medical professionals I’ve ever had. I am being treated for slow healing incisions from cosmetic surgery I had in Miami. I came to them in pain, hopeless and miserable. The team at St Vincent’s wound care have given me a light at the end of the tunnel and I can’t thank them enough for truly caring about me as their patient ❤️ I am healing nicely and If I could give them 10 stars ⭐️ I would.
Bless Dr. Swain and his amazing staff! I've never had such a scary situation as the current one that I'm in. I've been dealing with something called Pyoderma Gangrenousum. The skin disorder is very rare, I've been doing TONS of research, let's just say the medical community doesn't know much about it, other than it's not detectible via labs, it doesn't like surgery or being messed with i.e. biopsied, poked, prodded, etc.., it gets worse the more it's agitated and inflammation is the main cause of the wound(s) not healing. I'd suggest doing your own research if you know anyone or think you or anyone you know may possibly have this disorder. I've been fighting this issue for well over 6 months now, through several different misdiagnosisis and 2 E.R. visits, I've been fighting to get the proper care due to FL insurance policies, I'm sure it's the same country wide, our healthcare system is, to say the least, HORRIBLE and profits are too often put over people. Dr. Swain is a great meatsack (person), he is understanding and actually cares about all of the other meatsacks around him. His staff is also just as caring and just as attentive. Now if I can just get back to my care now that FL Blue finally got it together.
the best experience from a doctor we have ever had! My dad came to them very ill with a pressure ulcer on his foot. they were able to help us heel it and get him back up walking on his prosthetic. they are like family to us now and have always been there to help through this process. so very thankful for them!
