5 totalThe wound clinic in Vancouver is an outstanding facility, the people there are kind and cheerful in a difficult situation. Dr Carrasco is outstanding. He is compassionate, understanding, and listens. I can not say enough great things about this facility. Everyone in it is top-notch, I am grateful for the care I received. And a shout out to Christina, who made hyperbaric treatments tolerable.
On our first visit, a FNP misdiagnosed my son's would as 'not abscess related' and attempted to take his wound vacuum set away. She then wrote both the insurance company and the manufacturer of the equipment treatment was complete and the device unneeded, which was demonstrably dishonest. I have no idea what motivated her and we found competent treatment elsewhere but the ramifications with insurance and manufacturer continue. Totally unprofessional. Peacehealth will receive a complain about this specific person soon at any rate. So watch out and keep all your paperwork: you may need it later.
I have had a wound that has needed surgery and a lot of care, on my first visit the staff was very informative. I have been treated with respect, and aware of everything going on with my wound. The staff are kind and aware of what I am going through, giving me amazing treatment, keeping me informed of what’s next for me. They come highly recommend in my community, I would give this clinic a gold star and the staff a huge thank you.
After having a scratch turn into cellulitis , need surgery and then get really badly infected 6 weeks after the surgery I was thankfully sent to the wound clinic . My leg is finally healing. The whole process from injury in March till almost all healed with a wound vac in August has been slow and frustrating but once I started with Dr Carrasco and his wonderful team at least I have felt we are making progress and I can see the end in sight. I definitely recommend the wound clinic if you are having problems with a wound that is not responding to normal treatment. It means more appointments but it is worth the time . They know what they are doing.
