5 totalIf I could leave 5 negative stars it still wouldn’t be enough. I was butchered by St Al’s wound care doctor Christopher Wyatt. I’m a t-4 paraplegic and wheelchair bound and when I went in, I had 3 small pressure sores. They would have healed in 2 -3 months if the doctor had just bandage my wounds. But he chose not to bandage them at all. I asked if i needed to bandage them in between visits. He insured me that the barrier cream was all I needed. So for 4 months all doctor Christopher Wyatt did was put barrier cream my sores and no bandages ever. Witch left no protection for the sores to heal. With every visit Dr Christopher Wyatt would say is it’s looking a little worse let’s put more barrier cream on. This went on for 4 months with myself putting on the barrier cream in between visits just as instructed by the doctor, twice a day. So by the time he sent me to the ER 4 months later. My entire butt was a skinless bloody mess,. The ER doctor said it looked like id been drugged down a hot asphalt road on bare butt and ripped off the layers of skin of my butt. After spending a couple weeks in the hospital, I was then transferred to a skilled nursing home, where it took 9 months just for my butt to heal enough so I could have plastic surgery to repair the extra hole I had on my butt. I’ve been in this nursing home for over a year and I continue to lay there still. I tried to sue St Al’s but they made a deal with Hepworth & Holzer the law firm I had hired to sue St Al’s. Hepworth & Holzer sat on my files for a year until statute of limitations was up. The law firm got there 10% and St Al’s didn’t get sued. A win win for everyone but myself. So think twice before you go to St Al’s wound care. I’ll post more later.
I have bringing my husband here for over a year now. I love all the extremely kind people. Dr. Wyatt, his team of nurses and wound attendants. We always leave with hope and satisfaction. The only thing I would request is putting the DIY channel back on in the waiting room. Friends is just so old and some of it is not appropriate for young ones. Thank you!!!!!
The ostomy nurses and the front desk are amazing. I have been a few times and they are helpful, happy and overall make the visit a success. Thanks for being so positive, it makes a difference. Update: Joanne is the most calm, friendly and amazing nurse. She cares about every little detail and will make you feel like you are family. The whole wound staff is just hands down a joy. They obviously are in my male area and I feel comfortable with everything. The care is also top notch. The knowledge is just spot on. I felt safe with my ostomy, my wound vac and all because Joanne and Kay. This is my 2nd time working with Joanne and I’m sure not the last but she sure leads a good team on how to do things. If you see this Joanne, you are a true angel I hope everyone becomes like you for all wound care.
Jennifer was amazing, friendly, efficient and well versed in patient care/needs. I brought my father-in-law in today and this place is amazing, due in large part to Jennifer’s warm touch and warm hand-off. Kay was great! Gentle touch and very professional in her manner as well as very empathetic. Trifecta - Doc Quinn, great doc, patient attentive/ patient focused and thorough. Extremely knowledgeable. This place is so great, no real words would describe the full experiences.
As a home health nurse I found the staff to be very helpful, giving concise answers to my questions and concerns. If their clients developed problems an appt was immediately scheduled. If you have problems, write your questions down so you remember to ask them and look over the printed discharge instructions. You are important.
