5 totalAs someone who has spent over 15 years working in executive roles within the medical field—including primary care , hospitals, drug rehabs and urgent care facilities—I hold a very high standard when it comes to transparency, professionalism, and proper medical documentation. I recently opened a clinic in Medellín that serves both locals and international patients. Initially, I began using this facility’s services personally and had also started referring patients there. As part of responsible medical practice, we requested basic documentation for our records regarding session duration and treatment depth so we could properly document care provided to our patients. These types of details are standard in medical documentation and are important for maintaining transparency, continuity of care, and quality assurance for both patients and physicians. Unfortunately, instead of addressing this request professionally, the owner responded by terminating both our service agreement and my personal sessions, effectively refusing service altogether. In over 15 years in healthcare, I have never experienced such an unprofessional reaction to what should be considered a routine and reasonable request related to patient medical records. Rather than approaching the situation with professionalism or a willingness to clarify documentation standards, the response by the owner Carlos was overly aggressive and would deem it inappropriate and very unprofessional. Based on this experience, I would encourage others to exercise caution when working with any healthcare provider that reacts negatively to reasonable requests for documentation and transparency related to patient care. Update (in response to Post Salud): read their comments and re-read section below. Claiming that documenting the chamber depth and time “takes away from patient care and safety” is frankly an excuse. Taking a photo of the gauge takes literally a few seconds. During a 90-minute session there is already a staff member monitoring the patient the entire time. Recording basic treatment parameters like ATA depth and time should be routine documentation in any professional medical environment. Newer chambers have these reading parameters already built into them and adds them automatically in an electronic medical chart. I hold extremely high standards of integrity before referring patients. When evaluating services that my patients may purchase, I personally undergo the therapy myself to ensure the quality, safety, and protocol meet international standards. For me, as a clinic owner, to be kicked out of a hyperbaric facility simply for politely requesting basic treatment documentation is extremely concerning. Instead of providing straightforward information, the response was anger and termination of the relationship. That kind of reaction raises legitimate ethical concerns about the transparency and professionalism of the practice. In hyperbaric therapy, depth (ATA) and duration are the treatment. If those parameters are not properly documented or verified, patients have no way of knowing whether they actually received the therapy they paid for. Unfortunately, some operators increase margins by shortening sessions or not reaching proper therapeutic pressure while patients remain unaware. At our clinic, we follow strict regenerative medicine protocols, typically 40–60 sessions at 2.0 ATA, with approximately 15 minutes compression, 60 minutes at therapeutic depth 2 ATA, and 15 minutes decompression. These parameters are critical to achieving the clinical therapeutic medical prescription. Patients should be cautious of providers who respond with hostility when asked for basic documentation. Transparency and accountability are fundamental standards in healthcare. When a clinic owner reacts with anger and terminates relationships over simple documentation requests meant to verify treatment, it raises serious questions about the integrity of the operation. The owner “Carlos” can call or attempt to reach out to me if he like to clarify things. As of now he hasn’t.
The best medical attention I have had the pleasure of receiving! After my surgery my anesthesiologist Carlos Yepes was very on top of calling me to check in, helping me with pain management, and gave clear and direct instructions for each medication that I needed to take. Extremely happy with their service!!! Thank you guys!!!
Dr. Yepes and the POSTSALUD team were absolutely invaluable during my post-surgery recovery. I truly couldn’t have gotten through that first week without their support. The daily check-ins and nurse visits were not only reassuring but crucial in helping me navigate the initial stages of healing after my abdominoplasty. I came from the United States for this procedure as part of medical tourism, and having a dedicated team like Dr. Yepes and his staff made all the difference. Being away from home during recovery can be daunting, but their compassionate care made me feel completely supported and safe throughout the process. I also highly recommend opting for the pain pump if you’re planning to undergo any similar surgery. It made a world of difference in managing discomfort and allowed me to focus more on recovery rather than pain. Thank you, Dr. Yepes, for your exceptional care, professionalism, and kindness. I’m beyond grateful for your support throughout this journey!
They always receive me with so much love and pay attention to every possible need .. you can ask for a movie or relaxing music while you are inside . I paid for 10 sessions after my first one bc of all the benefits and the excellent customer service
I had a tummy tuck and bbl and opted to get the pain pump. It helped control the pain tremendously. Dr. Yepes was consistently checking in everyday to check on how I was feeling. He reviewed the pain medication that I was prescribed by my surgeon and made revisions as some of them can’t be taken at the same time as the pain pump. When the pump was finished a nurse came to the house to check my vitals and remove it. Overall very happy with him and his team.
