Whilst it’s impossible to prove what contribution the HBOT therapy had, I have no doubt in my mind, knowing that cancer cells cannot thrive in oxygen and knowing the healing qualities of HBOT therapy, it’s definitely made some contribution to my recovery. I should also add that my wife became particularly vigilant with my diet and exercise regime and also (important in my mind) we got out and walked in nature as much as possible. As a supporter of integrated medicine, whilst acknowledging that my NHS treatment was needed, essential and brilliant, I’m confident that HBOT was a contributor to my recovery.

Following my admision to Addenbrookes hospital on 20th February with a disc prolapse and associated lumbar canal stenosis which caused bilaterel foot drop, an operation involving decompression and discectomy was successfully completed and I left hospital six days later to continue with my recovery. After hearing and reading about the advantages of oxygen therapy with regards to aiding recovery I decided to contact Oxygen Therapy Cambridge. Following a consoltation with Simon I opted to initialy have twenty sessions over a four week period. After the sixth session I noticed that lift was returning to my feet and very quickly my mobility had progressed from crutches to a walking stick. Encouraged by the results I booked a further twenty sessions for the following four weeks and a marked improvement in my blood circulation, joint movement and general wellbeing are clearly evident. A recent assessment by the surgeon who performed the operation has given me encouragement that I will make a full recovery. Considering it's only fourteen weeks since the operation I am delighted with the progress I have made and I have no doubt that the oxygen therapy treatment has played a massive part in my ongoing recovery. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy has worked wonders for me. I've been going to a sports physio for 3 years with a degenerative disease, but with only short term changes to levels of pain.
